French photographer Philippe Vermès has taken on the role of an itinerant photographer in this collection of portraits of bikers. A.D. Coleman contributes a critical essay in which he writes, "Surely no stereotype. . .can survive an encounter with these empathetic studies of bikers old and young, with their lovers, their husbands and wives, their children and pets." Malcolm Forbes contributes the foreword--one of the last pieces he wrote before his death.
